This series of seminars intends to introduce the various homeschool philosophies, methodologies and styles to empower parents to choose which fits their children and families best.

Charlotte Mason Homeschooling

The second in the series of talks will feature the Charlotte Mason Philosophy. Learn what this style of homeschooling is all about and how a homeschooler uses it in her home. Take a peek at how planning, implementing, and gathering of materials is done in a Charlotte Mason homeschool. Get a chance connect and interact with fellow homeschoolers in this small group gathering.

This session’s speaker is Ms. Gina Roldan, a homeschooling mother of 4. Gina read on different methods and approaches to homeschooling, and reviewed different types of curriculums even before she got pregnant with her first born. From the many options she came across, Charlotte Mason was what grabbed her attention most, and she felt that it was the method that would best fit how homeschooling should be for her family. Since then, she has not looked back, and has been blogging her thoughts about her homeschooling journey at myrubyslippers.org.

Besides leading her four children ages 9, 6, 4, and 2 in what Charlotte Mason would call a “Feast of Learning,” Gina also leads a group of homeschoolers every week on “Living Activities” – also an element in Charlotte Mason’s philosophy which aims to capture a child’s need for Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.

Flavors of Homeschooling Series: Charlotte Mason Philosophy will be held on November 28, 2016 from 1-4pm at The Study by Enderun in Podium Mall, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City. Learning fee is P700/participant inclusive of light snack and coffee.
