Kids’ Activities

There will be various activities for children of all ages should you want to bring your children along. These activities will all take place in the classrooms in the second floor of Treston International College. Please make sure, however, that they are with a trusted adult at all times. HAPI and Educating for Life will not be liable for any untoward incident that may happen to your child during the event.

ACTIVITIES AND SCHEDULE

PARKOUR by NINJA ACADEMY (Hourly classes from 9am to 5pm)

Parkour is the functional and creative movement of a person attempting to overcome an obstacle in a given environment. It consists of natural, human movement such as running, jumping, climbing, rolling, swinging and for advanced freerunners, tumbling or flips.

Ninja Academy is the first indoor Parkour facility in Manila and they will be holding hourly classes in the conference for children 5 years old and above.

ART CLASSES by KIDZART (9am-5pm)

Unleash your child’s artistic creativity with a taste of KidzArt’s program that aims to help remove obstacles that hinder success in producing art work that you can be proud of.

SANDBOX PLAY PROGRAM by THE LEARNING LODGE (9am-5pm)

Young children will enjoy this Reggio-Emilia inspired activity that includes Tinker Trays, a nature Exploration Station, and The Hundred Language Wall (printing hand using white paint on craft paper to make a “curtain” using their hand prints). Of course, they can also choose to just engage in free play with the recycled toys provided by The Learning Lodge.

AVIATION ELEMENTARY FOR TEENS by THE LEARNING LODGE (9am-5pm)

Aeronautic enthusiasts will have a blast Playing with Propellers, a table top activity, and even learning how to assemble the kits. They will also get a chance to assemble a windmill as they learn basic Aeronatics concepts.

FREE COLORING by FABER CASTELL (9am-5pm)

Kids tired from all the activities? Let them calm down by letting them color and decorate the activity sheets provided by Faber Castell.

PLAY AREA by TOPMnl (9am-5pm)

Children from 1-12 years old will enjoy the educational wooden toys provided by TOPMnl in their play area.

FENCING DEMO by EZKRIMA

Ezkrima, a fencing club open to kids, teens and adults, will let kids ages 7 years old to teens experience an actual fencing game. Each session will be 45 minutes to 1 hour.

ACTIVITIES by CRAFTED CRAFTS (9am-10am, 11am-12pm, 2pm-3pm, 4pm-5pm)

Learn a new skill and pursue a new hobby courtesty of the ladies of Crafted Crafts.

Felt Craft with Jill Zarate of JAZ Arts and Crafts – Learn how to make felt paper flowers and turn them into cute daily accessories, and work with the other participants to create a bouquet together.

Create a Critter with Jean Castillo of Jinstitches – Have fun with yarns and turn them into critters you can love.
Jewellery-making with Genaline Gaspar of Craft Works –  Learn the basics of making earrings and bracelets, with short lecture on how to choose the right materials and tools for your projects.
Crochet Along with The Happy WAHM of Crafted Crafts – Learn crochet basics, and complete a simple project you can wear.  Handouts will be provided.

FEES

There will be a flat fee of P500 per child to allow access to all the activities in the Activity Area, not including Crafted Craft activities.

Crafted Craft fee is as follows:
Choice of 1 – P300 per child
Choice of 2 – P500 per child

Guardian fee for the Activity Area is P50.
